Kill the adds and Tangata will become vulnerable again. Fire sprites will attack your party members. Wisps will travel toward Tangata and explode if they reach him. While invulnerable, he summons wisps and fire sprites. During the fight, Tangata will periodically become invulnerable in a pool of lava. He has a devastating frontal AoE cone attack. Tangata, the giant ox-like creature, is the final boss of Halatali. He is spawned when any player approaches the chest out in the open at the center of a stone circular area. Pit Peiste is a reptilian optional boss with Rudius Beaks as adds. During both add phases, it will run back into the pool to spawn the elementals which will approach the party.Those in the water will take significantly more damage from the lightning attacks, so it is advised to fight on either of the slopes. Occasionally the water will glow purple any players standing in the water will take Electrocution damage over time. Kill the elementals and the drake will become vulnerable again. He spawns lightning elementals while invulnerable. During this boss fight, Thunderclap Guivre will become invulnerable twice. Thunderclap Guivre is a drake with that can use Levinshower, a frontal AoE cone attack, and Electrify, a non-self-centered AoE attack. Be sure to burst Firemane down or kill the wisps before they can reach the pit. If they reach the pit, they will explode and deal damage to everyone in your party. The wisps travel toward the fire pit in the center of the boss room. The fight is not very difficult, however, as most healers will have no problem healing through the AoE bursts.Firemane is a fire elemental that summons wisps as adds. The only other ability of note is a massively damaging frontal cone attack that is easily avoided by sidestepping the blast.Īs with Firemane, the strategy here will depend on the party: the Fire Spirits must be killed manually, however the wisp adds can be ignored if your healer is confident in their ability to keep everyone up. The adds will only appear at periodic times when Tangata becomes invulnerable, and surrounds himself with a circular field that causes heavy damage to anyone who stands on it. The wisps act just as they did before, causing AoE damage to the party, while the Spirits will attack as normal by casting fire spells. The final boss of Halatali wields a giant axe and will summon wisp adds similar to those encountered during the first boss, Firemane, as well as Fire Spirits for aid. The Peiste has no special attacks or abilities that are unusual, and will die quickly. The adds around the chest can be killed beforehand to make the fight easier. This optional boss will spawn when trying to loot a treasure chest near the end of the instance. Groups will want to pull the elementals and the boss to the ramps on the side of the room and fight there, which will avoid the increased damage easily. While the boss is invulnerable, the shallow pool of water that covers most of the battleground will become electrified, greatly increasing lightning damage to the party. During the fight, the boss will become invulnerable twice, summoning a group of lightning elementals. The second boss is a drake with several primary abilities, the first being a frontal cone AoE attack. What the latter tactic gains in simplicity, it also adds in strain for the healer, so proper care must be taken to ensure that damage does not get out of control. The adds can be killed, however it may be easier for most groups to damage the boss as fast as possible and heal through the bursts. The wisps slowly travel to the fire pit in the center of the room, where they will burst for area of effect (AoE) damage to the whole party.
